Fans of the Grand Theft Auto game series are eagerly anticipating the release of Grand Theft Auto V, the latest installment in the series. Rockstar Games, the developer of the franchise, has announced that Grand Theft Auto V is slated for release on the Playstation 3 in October 2012. Rockstar has released a few hints as to what fans can expect on the release date on Playstation 3.

Upon viewing the trailer, fans will see various shots of a dazzling interactive environment, set to the monologue of a gruff-voiced narrator.
What about the release date rumors?
Despite the hype, some are claiming that the slated GTA 5 October release date is tenuous at best. They insist that the release date of the newest Gears of War title would have interfered with the release of Grand Theft Auto V on PS3, however, that new Gears of War installment has been canceled.
While the October release of GTA V is not currently set in stone, the source of the leaked release date originated from a Rockstar employee. At this Dedicated fans can only diligently watch for the next hint regarding a definite release schedule.
